My husband Clark and I often talk about “sticking the landing” in our writing. No matter how many triple lutzes and backflips you’ve done paragraph by paragraph, it’s all for nought if you can’t land like a teenage gymnast twirling off the uneven bars. It has to fee light, effortless, elegant, perfect.
