I missed this post, as I was out of the country. Just saw this: "The generation that let families fracture and communities collapse and the world burn wants somehow to imagine they have wisdom to pass along."

Well, dang, Perdita, that's kind of harsh. I was there, and so much change desperately needed to happen. No one was listening, and the youth were sick of the endless wars America was either starting or joining. As a Boomer myself, I don't think I have "special" wisdom to pass along, but I do have wisdom accumulated in this lifetime over the many years I have lived. I have been working on my dysfunctional self through psychotherapy, group therapy, weekend retreats, encounter groups, and now energy psychology since about age 19. I self-educated on a variety of healing modalities and herbs and eventually returned to school to become a chiropractor at age 40. I admit I still don't have it all together, but I'm working on it and will until I die. I believe that Boomers did some serious consciousness-raising back then.
