I immediately thought of Small, Slow and Low this morning. The host of the Crones, Hags and Elder Wise Women Summit host, Alison Palmer, was describing the changes our bodies go through as woman age, "Our boobs might be getting bigger, and our body might be going south . . And it's almost like there is this Devine Earth energy pulling us down, really so that we have this amazing connection to Her in this time of life." It reminded me as you said, "You cannot be too small, you cannot move too slowly, and you cannot be too close to the ground." It makes perfect sense as so many Elder Wise Women begin to wake up to their power.
Loving this… as I was beginning to comment on this page at 11:11 am here in New Mexico and ask for help from my ancestors on both sides of the veil regarding my upcoming hip replacement surgery on Monday, a dear friend and spiritual sister sent me a message with an image of an X-ray showing her own hip prosthesis taken yesterday by the same surgeon who is going to take care of me! I could not believe it! The immediate response, the tremendous help provided by the visual, the support I feel All around me as I enter the mystery wrap me in the warm embrace of community and blessings.
Ask, and thou shall receive! Thank you Dear Perdita! 🙏❤️🙏
thank you so much for sharing this...we ask and they show up, often so simply, so lovingly, so reassuringly. I hope others will share their stories, their homegrown miracles as well. And good luck with the hip replacement!!!!
Only once have I truly breathed a sigh of relief to hear someone I knew had died. I am thankful to be able to participate in these conversations with you, as fear of death and the dead is so deeply pervasive in our US culture that it is very rare to be able to talk about how the dead are really just in the next room.
Your statement: "don’t condemn me to a single day in a chrome board room on Wall Street filled with reasonable men", is one I've heard you often say. And last night, I saw a new movie that portrayed this horror. It's a modern Oedipus myth, called "Blackberry," about the Waterloo, ON, Canada based company of the same name. Once again one who rose to the top tumbled far below the bottom because of their own hubris, causing chaos and harm to many others in their wake.
